Found a new ( to me ) pest

Bowsnbucks

I just found some white, cottony-looking bugs or disease on a couple apple trees. They were located at buds along the branches. I could not tell if they were bugs or some sort of disease spores because when I attempted to remove some, they just went to mush. Trees didn't look bad in any way really.

Anyone know what they might be ??

Stu - Thanks. I Googled W.A.A and that's it. The articles I read about it say that severe outbreaks are rare and chemical control is rarely needed. Ladybugs, lacewings, hoverflies, and parasitic wasps are recommended natural controls.

I was glad to read that they are usually kept at bay with the natural methods. Less to spray for. Thanks again !!

Found these worms on a dead leaf on an apple tree. It was the only worms I found and the tree is overall healthy. Anybody know what they are? Something I need to take care of?

Yes, looks like leafrollers. Since they are all in one spot, it will be easy to kill them.

I Google-Image searched this. This is known as a "pest".
You're welcome.

Oh, sorry. I got a bit enthused on your behalf. But do enjoy your pesticidal endeavors.
