Pink blooming shrub

Mixed in with bush honeysuckle along the west fence line, this is a new one on me. I wonder if it’s an escapee from a landscaper?

Not an expert but looks like some sort of rhododendron to me. I use an app on my phone called picture this. You can take a pick of the leaves or the flowers and it will give you a couple options that it could be. It works fairly well.

I have them all around the gate at the farm . Don't know what they are called but I can not detect any fragrance from them but they do attract pollinators.

The rhododendron flowers that I’ve seen have wider petals. I’ll keep an eye on them to see if they change.

Ya the flowers don't quite look right but they also don't look fully opened. The leaves and the trunk look like rhododendron or mountain laurel to me. But just a total guess on my part. I googled the image and it came up Tibouchina, but that doesn't quite look right either.

It sure looks like a variety of honeysuckle to me as well.

It is definitely not a rhododendron.

I would bet money it is some kind of Lonicera(honeysuckle).

Definitely tatarian honeysuckle. You can see why people still plant the stuff for ornamentals.

Ya that definitely looks like it. I fortunately don't have any honeysuckle around me so I'm not too familiar with it.
