Apple orchard tax deductions (Wisconsin)

I was just wondering if any of you claim a tax deduction for having an orchard. I had done some checking in the past, and Wisconsin seems to have a low number, to be considered an orchard 20-25, then you need to sell some of the harvest. I am not sure how much the deduction is, or if it is worth it at all. That is why I am asking you guys? My orchard is still on the young side, and I dont have an over abundance of fruit each year, to make me want to sell some, but soon I hope I will. I have ~30 trees, with about a 1/3 that produce.

I guess my question is, who does it, is it worth it, and how hard is it to claim it?

I had a Wisconsin income tax question last year. I picked a CPA at random and emailed him. It turned out that he had been living out of his cottage in Northern Wisconsin for many months out of fear of COVID and was just glad to have someone to talk to, even if it was to give tax advice at no charge.

General rule file schedule f , have to show a profit every few years , not every year tree count has very little bearing on deduction , i would look at how much you now produce and what they are worth , are the numbers big enough to care ?

We have done schedule f for other farm income , when we file it all goes to the same amount of farm income

I do a schedule F, run my stuff under fencing expenses, spaying goes with my chemical expenses for the farm. Try and show a profit every once in a while - the usual ... it all gets blended into my other farm income and expenses.

i live in wi, i planted fruit trees all around my yard including an area that looks much like a designed orchard , my tax assessor agreed to consider it ag land and tax it as such which reduced the rate on that acreage considerably. I live on a 40 acre piece and the the majority of it is in some kind of program, my home and about 1/4 acre surrounding it is the only part of it taxed as residential.
