Global warming

There is nothing to correct. What humans do is inconsequential to the future of the planet. Fluctuating Temperature trends are the only constant throughout the whole of the historyof this great planet we live on. Nothing we do, will or can change that.

Maybe we could start by not paying people to have numerous kids. China has population control because they have to feed all of them. Another reason they released COVID.
 
You do realize that it won't be long and the population will be decreasing in the US. I think I read about 20 years. Right now we are about 3 million deaths (with or without Chirus) and about 4 million births.

I can point you to pages that show countless articles, books, reports, papers during the 1970’s that do in fact say we were going to freeze. I just can’t say with impunity that they are all correct, no more than you can say your borrowed graph is correct.

There are plenty more sources, would be interested in one source that tallies global cooling as more prevalent in the literature in the 1970s.

I don’t think it’s cooling obviously. But I don’t think people are causing the warming trend. Thanks for proving what they taught me in school was incorrect. Good thing, unlike then, what we are teaching today is accurate without question.:emoji_thinking:

You do realize Biden is opening up the southern border. That will more than make up for the decreasing birth rate in the US:emoji_wink:

Would like to see a source on this as well. 6 months?!! That's ridiculous. If that was true, every gazillionaire would be slapping these things up anywhere there's a powerline. I don't doubt there's a study out there that says 6 months, but it would take some real common core fuzzy math to make those numbers add up. I actually don't care if there are a few towers around the countryside, understanding we need to bridge ahead bit by bit, but I'm squarely in the nimby camp and don't want them around me. The way I understand it is they aren't feasible without the massive subsidies. If you're a believer in property rights, wind turbines are intrusive. My dad has vertigo and tinnitus and he's not real thrilled about them trying to set up shop here either. He'd probably move.
 
Agree the 6 months isn't close to reality. Most of the claims won't live up to the advertisement. Maybe someday they build a better version that actually is a no brainer.
 
All I know, on my high elevation north ridge, south facing farm, with a limestone/shale underlayment, and me owning the mineral rights. .... Im praying that they will place 50 wind turbines on the ridge, cover the 60 acres of south facing slopes with solar panels, open a deep mine for coal, drill and tap an oil reservoir, and finally , frack the crap out of it to get the gas. If it happens I'll be chitin bricks of gold. And once the polar caps melt, it will all become beach front property and I'll build huge condos to sell to the smart ones of the world. Maybe there is hope for this poorly educated, inbred, living up the holler , embarrassment to society, mountain man. God bless America .

Maybe it’s like when my buddy installed solar and according to the installer it was going to pay for itself in 3 years because he could sell his SREC’s (solar renewable energy credits) to one of those evil carbon producers who needed to buy them to offset their carbon production.

Problem was everyone got sold the same story and the market was flooded with SREC’s and the price plummeted. It’s been over 10 years and it still hasn’t paid for itself.

It's a good thing all those people have their shot records up to date. We are in the middle of a pandemic!
Will letting millions of immigrants into the USA help reduce our global warming footprint?
 
The real joke of the windmill farce is the amount of evil carbon emissions needed to produce ship and erect just one of those things. If you've never been close to one you wouldn't believe how massive they are. Just the footings for them.are unbelievable. The ones i was involved with the footers had to be 30 feet deep or more. When your talking about 50 to 100 feet in diameter thats one hell of a hole. And i got news for you, those holes.dont dig themselves, and the union labor used to build the useless things sure as hell ain't diggn it by hand. Which leaves an evil diesel powered excavator, and gasp, a whole bunch of dump trucks to haul the.over burden away. Then think about the cranes needed, news flash ,they aint solar powered.
Then think.about the shipping, each one gets trucked in on at least a dozen different trucks. Probably fusion powered though.
Then.you have manufacturering, i bet those plants are gerbil powered.
Hell, it probably would take 30 years of nonstop good clean wind energy just to ofset the carbon footprint from the manufacturing process, not to memtion the rest.
But hey, its all for.the common good right comrades?
 
There used to be small hydro plants all over NY. They shut them all down. Can’t get much cleaner or cheaper than hydro. I can’t figure why they moth balled them.
