If those trees are that good , grafting is the Way to go. I'm not sure about "mature trees" but places Like Blue Hill, Whitetail Crabs , Mid West Deer Trees sell some of the best Wildlife trees that are 3 foot to close to 6 foot depending on the growing season or if you buy 2 year old trees...

I'm not sure what you are asking, are you just trying to buy more trees that are the same ? If so a picture of the tree and fruit would help. IF you really want identical tees you need to buy rootstock , and graft scion ( a young shoot or twig) from your 1942 trees onto the rootstock.

I planted 2 Rut Rage's last year, fast growers....they both had blossoms this year, and one tree has a couple pears growing already at about 5 foot !. The other tree had blossoms all the way at the top. I'll probably have to get a ladder to see if it has pears as well.

The easiest way to learn would be to watch some crabapple or apple YouTube grafting videos. Then out of all the videos choose the method that looks the easiest to you and that you'd have the most confidence in duplicating.

Sounds good, but the trees your grafting from , originally had to come from somewhere.

First you're complaining about only getting 2 days notice. Then theirs a snowstorm that just came through. Then you want to plant 8 trees in SW WI , "but I won't be there for at least two weeks" . So what's the deal ? is the snowstorm so bad that you can't get their for 2 weeks ? (doubtful)...
