Yes Guide Gear has one that looks like it wobbles in the picture. Maybe if I can anchor the legs down well and maybe ratchet one to a tree. The sturdier ones all seem like they're made for rifles with the shooting rails. Maybe I can just leave them off though too.
Ya I was thinking 12 ft might be a better option. The evergreens are probably 20 ft tall. Not sure if they left them stand or they just grew faster. Clearcuts don't grow very tall very fast down there for some reason.
It's got to be somewhat mobile, I'll have an ATV to haul it in and out but getting a truck close is impossible. We're "technically" supposed to remove all stands at the end of the season. Although that rarely occurs, but I do follow those rules. I'm looking $350 max. I want to be as high as...
I have a spot at our hunting club in WV that is in the middle of a fairly new clearcut. I've been hunting out of a ground blind for a couple of years because there aren't any mature enough trees to get in. There are a few evergreens but only 4-6 inch diameter. I thought a tripod stand I could...
I've thought about spraying the pieces that slide together with that rubberized spray paint. Just not sure about getting them together then. I've tried taping those pieces. Makes it tough to get them together that way too. Nothing worse than climbing a stand on a crisp morning before dark...
Does are one thing I have no shortage of. Nobody must shoot them around me. I've had 20+ in a group run past a camera in the winter. I feel bad for the farmers this year with all the rain they've had trouble getting crops in but it should be good for the fall food plots.
More groundhogs and trash pandas than anything. lol. I don't typically have a lot of deer in the summer. I'm not sure why. Just a few home does and fawns and a couple 1 1/2 year old bucks.
Wow it's a miracle! For the first time ever, I've gotten clover to establish. Helps that it's rained every other day all spring an summer so far, with blazing sun in between.
