    I HAVE to share...

Dude would have to poach that deer. My neck of the woods is pretty much locked down. You either own, or are very very close friends or family to said owner. I tried to pick up some leases to help relieve pressure and add some more spots for my hunters outside of our own private property and not...

All my mineral sites get a trophy rock and a 20lb bucket of the lucky buck mineral. I actually really like the lucky buck stuff. The deer seem to use it quite a bit so I am going to assume they like it as well. Stuff also smells sooooo tasty. It tastes like crap though so do not try.

    Bulk pines planting

I have been watching this thread from a distance for quite some time now with nothing to add to it. I did plant 400 Norway spruce and 100 white cedars back at the end of January. The spruce was one-year plugs, the cedars were two years. I believe now, I can add how my personal experience has...

I keep trying to think of the name that rhymes with that. Maybe PM?

It is ironic that you guys are bringing up the headhunter thing. I was talking to a good friend and fellow outfitter out of Kansas and he had mentioned the same exact situation that actually had happened to him. Except they were posting the deer and such on social media.

It truly depends. This year is going to be a little more complex because I did start an outfitting business. Historically, with the way this block is setup both by us and our neighbors, with this particular rotation of crops, this deer might just stick around long enough for my first hunters...

    I HAVE to share...

Good morning, Gents, It has been a fat minute since I have been active on the forum. So, I thought, what better way to get involved again than a trail Cam pic of an absolute giant? Some backstories, this year I have made a conscious effort to be more discrete in my camera pictures with...

    Large land owners

I guess, is 240 an acre average down there? Not familiar with the state. I do know 240 on average up here is just not possible.

    Large land owners

These are good questions and without knowing very much as far as numbers go, I could not give you an answer as to whether or not you would make a payment with the entire property leased. My guess is you could potentially come close. You have to think, the money paid for the lease is the same...

    Large land owners

I have never heard of land being leased out at the price. Typical in Ohio for farming is 200-300 dollars and acre but if you're respectful, have a name, and know the owners you could bargain it down real easy. Makes me wonder what they are leasing it for.

What was even crazier is that they wanted that money BEFORE the grain prices went through the roof (very grateful). When it was listed, at the average price of grain, it would be in the third generations lifetime before we seen an ROI on that farm.

    Large land owners

Land prices are absurd, there is a local farm that is a contiguous 254 acres going up for sale here shortly. We are about 50 miles away from the nearest large city. Any guesses on what they want for this tract??? i.e. if you said over $2.5M you won...

    Growing Spruce with Seeds

It looks like it’s working out well! Are these outside? Direct sunlight? Is it still cold where you’re at? Are they inside? So many questions.
