St. Lawerence Nursery trees are up

I believe winter wildlife produces fruit every year and AWHO produces every other year. Both are supposed to be disease resistant and late hangers

    Korean Giant Pear Seeds

Does anyone have any Korean Giant pear seeds that they would like to share or trade for scion? I am looking to grow out some pear seedlings in an effort to make some deer trees in the future. I am aware that they will not be true to the parent tree, I just want to experiment a bit. I have a...

Looks like you have some great trees, are those all annual producers, except for the honeycrisp?

    Is This Dolgo?

Do all 4 of your dolgo trees drop apples at the same time? I have grafted several dolgo from different sources. I am wondering if they will all drop apples at the same or if there is a chance that they could be seedling dolgo and have different drop times.

    Love my seedling persimmons

Thanks for the info, I think I will give them a try as well when ordering opens this fall. They are a bit costly to take chances on so its nice to have some input from others who are in a similar climate

    Love my seedling persimmons

I am trying to grow several varieties over here on the western edge of western Ny, do you mind sharing what varieties Ryan recommended you try? I have Deer Candy, Deer Magnet and Full Draw from Blue Hill...Hoping they will do ok here.

    Keifer vs Bartlett bloom time.

Be aware of "Improved Kieffer". I have read that these are a separate breed and drop time is earlier than the original Kieffer.

    Goldrush Apples

Looking through my scion list that I have purchased and I already have one on the way. Looks like i'll be grafting one or two. Thanks for the tip on the orange pippen site too, not always easy to find hang times. Everything seems to be reported as harvest time instead.

    Goldrush Apples

Thanks Bows, thats good info. I am just over the border in southwestern NY so my zone would be pretty similar to your camp. I may have to graft one of these

Whats the drop time like on that crimson topaz? Do they hang pretty late for you?

    Ides of March

Sandbur, What are your thoughts on drop time from one hardiness zone to the next? I know there is probably some uncertainty involved here but will this apple tend to drop earlier or later as I move it to a warmer climate? I believe I am one and a half or 2 zones warmer.

    Ides of March

This year I am working on starting a deer orchard and several members on the board here were kind enough to help me out with some scion wood. There are some great folks on this board. One of the scions I was sent was called Ides of March, Oaknut was kind enough to help me out with this one...
