Vole damage?

Is this Black Pine de rooted by voles?

Maybe rabbits. But the roots…….not a thing left after I pulled it out. It had growing buds I think in the tree part.

yeah I doubt the rabbits ate under the ground.

I have had that happen on a couple fruit trees if I used mats.I am guessing voles

I lost 2 small apples this year to them.

I have a lot of them this year.

It’s crazy, my dog is chomping on them all day long. ( at least a dozen daily)
