Switchgrass and Miscanthus

Are starting to pop thru in Southwestern WI. In "normal" years one would be looking to spray for weeds about this time. Be careful if doing so.

Believe it or not the miscanthus can handle one round. I wouldn't do it on purpose but I have just like you warned against and they were fine. Had some of my originals in flower beds at home. Wife hated it. When i finally terminated it it took 3 rounds of gly to kill it once and for all. Spray, cut the dead then spray the resprouts twice more.
