Sorghum-Sudangrass and Soybeans

Yearling... With promise
Has anyone ever planted a mix of Sorghum-Sudangrass and Soybeans? I've got a 3 acre area I'm hoping can serve as cover with the added benefit of some food value with the beans. And if the beans get overbrowsed it's not a big deal as I'll still have the cover of the sorghum sudan. Let me know if anyone has any experience, positive or negative, mixing the two.

I have. planted sunflowers, beans and sorghum. It got pretty weedy because anything you spray to kill the weeds in the beans will kill the sorghum.
Having said that, it was still food. Never saw a sunflower but my deer hammer them.

I have also but as Bill said you can't spray.

Welters Seed has a good inexpensive mix for sale.

You can use igrowth Milo and Clearfield sunflowers with the soybeans. Then use imox or imazethapyr for weeds.
