Slashing pile

It looks like your pile can be safely burned.

Sometimes piles can be a pain to get going. Take a pair of lopping shears and open a hole in the pile. Put some charcoal, or 2 or 3 open top soup cans with 3/4's used motor oil and 1/4 gasoline. They'll act like pilot bruners. The brush has to be close to the fire to get started. I take a chainsaw or shear and chop the brnahces in a corner down to where there like 2 fingers apart from each other, when you cant put your arm into the gaps.

Aspen shouldn't take too long to dry.

Let it burn down some, then push the unburnt ends back into the fire.

Spread that ash around as soon as you can, add some lime where you couldn't spread.

Sounds like burning is going to be your best bet with how quickly you want it gone and the limited help.
