Shortest rut ever

Hey guys,
Started my vacation off this year and tagged out an hour into my vacation. The wind wasn’t a prevailing wind so I Decided to take advantage of it and hunt a little more aggressive. I didn’t even have my release on when this guy surprised me around 3:30. It was a very intense situation. He stopped to survey the landscape giving me an 18 yard broadside shot. My arrow flew true and I doubled lunged him.

Sweet! Sometimes things just fall into line.
Nothing wrong with getting aggressive once in while. Especially if your gut say it's time to.

Bszweda - Boy - I feel sorry for you that your season had to end so soon. We should all be so downtrodden ………

Congrats on a really nice buck !! A 10 pt. in any season is a pretty good season. And while you're chomping down a venison burger, you now have time to plan for next spring's habitat work, maybe some yote hunting, how to mount that set of antlers …………...…… life sure is tough.
