LC mix in the spring and summer

Last fall, I planted the LC mix. Now the rye and oats are about 5 feet tall and the red clover is doing nicely. What do I do with it now? My thought was just to leave it until fall, then mow, spray, disc and plant my fall crop. What do you think? Thanks, mike

Coming up first to mid part of July I broadcast my brassicas into last years rye/clover and roll it down and spray it.

If the plot doesn't have a lot of weeds, one could skip the spraying? Is there any down side to that?
