early shedder

That was early. Hopefully he didn't get shot as fat doe.
 
Very little late season pressure around here so he should be OK. Wonder why he dropped so early?
 
If a bunch dropped early I'd say poor diet. Just one I'd say low T or an injury. He looks healthy enough.
 
Plenty of other spikes-6'ers still holding through January. I had distant photos earlier in the summer/fall of an antlerless deer that was built like a mature buck. I wonder if that was actually this guy. Maybe an injury early in the season that has since healed.
 
Maybe it's just me, but it looks like a buck fawn with little nubs on his head. I don't see any holes on his head that I normally see with a shed buck.

I had considered that also but fawns and most does on this same camera set appear much smaller. :confused:
