Difference between a 3 and 4 year old.

5 year old buck +
October 29th my cousin got to witness a breeding party with 5 bucks in it. He said a big 4 year old was in charge and chasing off a 3 year old and 3 small bucks from the doe. Well it happened to be the 3 and 4 year old stopped by our water hole which is 20 yards away from a empty stand... Just thought it was really cool to see the difference in body size between the 3 and 4 year old.

3 year old:

4 year old:

Both good looking buck but definitely a difference in their bodies.

Think those could be years 4-5?

I'm with dipper, I'd say that first one is 4.

Ditto, they are both 4+

This is more pictures of deer #1. I am fairly certain he is a well fed 3 year old.

I'm with the guys above on #2 being a 5 year old.

That short stubby block head and filled out body suggests he is more than 1 year older than buck # 1.

I have no idea... but they are both beautiful bucks!

Man I thought 4 and 5 as well. The other pics do make him look like a 3 yr old.

Both real nice bucks - but #2 is a bull !! Front half of his body looks like he's on 'roids. Good genes coming to the area. Thanks for sharing the pix.
