    Lumber Prices

Almost 6 bucks for a 2x4 here in Nj. I thought it was expensive 2 years ago building my house. The lumber bill was 90,000. I would hate to see what it would be today

Is property management on smaller properties

Living in NJ, corn piles are pretty much on every property and with a 150 ft bow safety zone in a lot of residential back yards. Most properties are on the smaller side of 50 scres or less with farmers with a few hundred. I myself have a little over 50 acres. Ive owned my property for over 5...

    Elevated blind finished!

Thats a nice blind. I just picked up 2 of the Banks Stump 4 Vision series blinds. I got one up 12 ft. I still need to anchor it and build some better steps but its good enough for this season. I have to say its solid, we had 60 to 70 mph winds the other night and its still standing. I cant say...

    Creating deer movement via foodplots

My area in NJ is unlimited antlerless. Shoot as many as you want for 6 months. Its crazy. On top of unlimited does you can get 6 buck tags. I shoot 0 does on my farm now and its been that way for 2 years and the 1st 3 years I owned it probably took 2 a season. I only have 2 stands on the...

    Creating deer movement via foodplots

Every piece of property is different and I think it varies more on surrounding hunting pressure. Low pressure the bucks can bed further away but if you are in a high pressure area as I am in NJ, I usually start the season with a herd of resident does around 15. As the season progresses, the...

    planted rape seed too thick

I would let it go. Especially in a small plot. If you have a good deer population, they will thin it for you

First year food plot so far a big success in my book

I know the plans in Nj are good for 10 years. When yours expires, consult with your forrester and tell him you want a plan written that helps with wildlife habitat. It will allow you to cut/hingecut. I just had my new plan drawn up this year.

    Cuddeback's Cuddelink

Id like to see Cuddeback put out one camera that works as it should before I buy a bunch of them. I have had several Attacks and they are junk. I am now in the same boat with the Covert cell cams. Having issues with the new ones. Being over 800 miles away I need a reliable camera.
