Check the fuse box and see if there are any spares. If not you can use a test light or ohm meter to see which circuits go on and off with the key and tap into it. Just be sure the fuse amp rating is enough to run the fan.

Easiest way would be a direct + and - from the battery with an in line breaker on the + side. The only drawback is if you left the fan on when the tractor was shut off it would drain the battery because it's not switched with the key.

If they're alone they get smoked. A whole clump of them lives.

That means it probably is rye. I’ve planted clover and rye together and like @somich says I just leave it grow out and mow it later. I’ve waited all summer with no weeds because it shades the clover in the summer heat.
