Foggy's Deertopia Proving Grounds - Happenings

You need 80% sun to grow a decent stand of switch from my experience. Stuff that fights for sunlight and competes with tree roots for nutrients rarely gets taller than 3' and is very slow to establish.

Cwd podcast that is actually very good

It's all good buddy. More upset about the time spent deboning and making jerky than anything. They do give me an extra buck tag though, good through next year so I won't cry in my soup too much.

Cwd podcast that is actually very good

So my WI archery buck this year tested positive for CWD. I'm torn on what to do. We (as a family) have already eaten the inner loins and a couple pounds of jerky from the rear roasts. Here is what the website states. My only regret is having fed some of it to my kids, not really worried...

Foggy's Deertopia Proving Grounds - Happenings

It looks like the new pond is right in the middle of your trail system or am I looking at it incorrectly?

Foggy's Deertopia Proving Grounds - Happenings

Good stuff. Good point on the walleyes not reproducing and making them more manageable. However I think for them to flourish in the summer time without running water, I think you make want it deeper than 12'?

Foggy's Deertopia Proving Grounds - Happenings

You've clearly put some thought into this. How big of ponds and how deep would you need to pull off something like that?

what shrubs are very attractive for deer browse.

What about some forbs that are legumes, it might be a good nitrogen fixer for your apples? It all depends on deer browsing pressure, but if you could get something of moderate height like a partridge pea to take hold, you may get smaller structure you could shoot through as well as the nitrogen...

    What's for dinner?

I saw that deal and thought about making a trip to pick up a couple. That's a great price, especially for prime grade.

    GP/LP 3P600 or 3P606NT user thread

It seems like from my recollection, most of the discourse around the center drive wheel has more been about whether you use that to set depth or use the packing wheels. It seems disingenuous to say there has been 26 pages discussing what a pain in the ass it is, plenty of other good...

    The Home 70

Haven't had any luck encountering anything older than a 3.5 year old in MN so far but there is still some mid day cruising going on. Lots of pheasant sightings and pictures this year. Hopefully get a buck down so I won't feel so bad about busting the brush and grass after a few before the...

Stock Market is the bottom in?

Its a bloodbath today. My TSLA shares have been volatile but ultimately up quite a bit, this one is going to sting a little.

Don Higgins blend or CIR Switch

The place where my RC Bigrock outshines the CIR: 1.Establishment year, much quicker and easier to establish with a less than optimal seed bed 2. One to two feet taller on average planted alongside each other 3. Winter standability, the CIR goes flat with a 2" heavy snow and stays flat for the...
