definitely make sure its not wetland..do a mix of mammoth red and alsike clover...ive had alsike submerged for a bit that just then popped back and thickened up and mammoth red is a good poor/wet soil choice also

grafting update: put 11 grafts of probably 6 varieties of near on this one..couldn’t find my paradigm so I used electrical tape..hope it works..leaves are just starting to pop so it might be a little early.. Also top worked and cleft grafted this Bradford pear which will have 9 different...

one thing about Hewes is its a pretty early popper..one of the earliest to break leaves out for me here in Northern PA...love the fruit and the growth it shows though..got one from Whitetail crabs and one from Adams county maybe?
