    Gonna have to get you some real late awakening trees like Turning Point...it was almost 80 here on Tuesday...22 this morning. I feel your pain... thankfully my trees stayed dormant and hopefully will for at least a couple more days...more roller coaster temps coming next week....

    another thought......could I till Plot 1, wait a few weeks, then spray with gly and seed the same day... and then for Plot 2...try a 1 day spray with clethodim and seed the same day...I am just wondering if the cleth would wear off enough in the time before the clover popped to not be an issue...

    Finished up my fruit tree pruning and cut some more scion...couple dozen trees in a few days..can't wait till my kiddos can help, though about half of the trees are getting big enough (12+') a ladder is gonna be necessary next year...for now I didn't really do a great job on the higher scaffolds...

    with that forecast might only have 1 shot to get seed down on top of the snow...i've also had great luck broadcasting ahead of a couple inches...i feel like the weight of the snow then the subsequent melting also helps direct the small seed down into the nooks of the soil

    definitely do the window screen and also a weed mat around the trunk. I also put limestone screening on top of the weed mad so the rodents wont burrow to the roots.
