Thanks for the reply. Do they make a reinforced cable with the brown connectors on both sides? I would just as soon use those as opposed to the more flimsy ones that come with the dual power bank. Otherwise things are working great!

Hey John, I just got our link system up and running and am loving it so far. The 8.0 software is perfect for a very absentee landowner like myself. I only have two areas of concern or questions. First I ordered some of the heavy duty cables that deter squirrels from chewing the cable between...

    Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

Hey John, I recently purchased three of the powerhouse black flash units and one of the K cameras and all are working well except for one. I have been testing them around the house and one of the powerhouse black flash units is taking a photo every minute on the minute even though I have time...

Do you seperate the perforations more or do you just cut out a square of the vinyl and adhere to the lens as normal? Are you using those on black flash cams? It seems crazy to me that it wouldn’t effect flash range, but the hole spacing must be enough to not cast shadows from the bulbs.

We have a pile of squirrels on our place. Have you found an alternative metal cord that would work?

Was the cell home discontinued? I’m not seeing it on Cuddebacks website, only the newer dual cell. For our application we really don’t need the camera portion at all and I would just as soon not use more battery for that. I’m assuming you can disable the camera portion?

Would you be able to rig up a solar panel to that as well to keep it trickle charged like HME has done for their cellular stealth cams? I’m definitely interested if you think that could outlast the double power pack.

Our set up shouldn’t need the full sixteen so we should be able to get some repeater units if need be. It would be interesting to see how much the rat tail would give us distance. Obviously we would try and streamline the system and keep the signals as high as possible to try and conserve as...

@Bpressley Thanks for the input! I would also be interested to hear what you have done for length, wire, and ground for your rat tail set up.

First off, I read through this entire thread over the last few days. Phew! My eyes are burning, but I wanted to thank everyone (especially John with Cuddeback) for the extremely useful information on this thread. I’ve been a lurker since back from the QDMA forum days so it doesn’t surprise me...
