I got my order in as soon as I got the notice, didn’t get to order all I wanted to this year, truck wanted a set of tires. Well worth setting up last night. Excited about my order and can’t wait for spring to get them in the ground. Extremely happy with the trees I received from Blue Hill this...
Mattyq , you are also interested in getting more bang from your trees by getting some fruit from your trees for cider, there is a thread or two maybe more on here that is about cider and crabapple trees that some prefer. Check Sandbur out , I think you can do a member search and find some of...
WoodDuck mentioned Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery and like he said he (Ryan) would be a good person to go to for what you need plus information. You asked about a good variety of crabapple to get for the drop time you want, something to consider would be diversity from varieties of crabapples with...
I got my email Tuesday and shipped Wednesday of last week and trees were here before noon Friday, I’m South of most of you.
I was expecting good trees because I have been following his Facebook page for a while, I have to say that his trees exceeded my expectations. I liked the way he prepared...
I don’t know what zone you are in Bobinct, I try to keep up with these guys when it comes to fruit trees, I noticed that Blue Hill was mentioned on this thread, Ryan’s FB page and website has become kind of like the old Sears and Roebuck catalog for me , I like looking and wishing. I was...
Thanks for sharing Chainsaw, Turning Point is a very impressive looking tree, can’t hardly wait until this fall to try and order a couple along with several other varieties that I have seen mentioned on here that I noticed Blue Hill Wildlife Nursery has on his website.
Seems like I’m a month late on this thread but when you get a certain age most things are like yesterday. I’m like you Wood Duck , I to like the chart that Blue Hill has fixed up, it gives me a view of relative drop times. I know it is relative to his location but I can take it and adjust it for...
I commented on another thread about being happy with the size of the trees I will be receiving from BHWN, and I will address that here.
I ordered some pear trees,BHWN site says pears will be 4-6 feet tall, on FB he stated he had some trees exceeding that hight and still had some growing season...
I
Sandbur, I sure have enjoyed reading your post/threads and pictures about crabapples. I was directed to habitat-talk by the owner of Bluehillwildlifenursery, he told me if I wanted to read and see pictures about crabapples to look for Sandbur and that I would find some very interesting...
I’m new on this forum or in other words to forums.
I found Bluehillwildlifenursery on FB late winter or early spring and I have followed since. I have placed my order for spring of 2020 and can’t wait until next fall so that I can order again.
Thank you for directing me to the other thread.
As for your question, I ordered 16 trees and shipping was less than 80. I am pleased with the shipping because I have researched other companies and shipping prices. I’m getting a much larger tree and being shipped by a company that was my preference.
Hey, I found this feed and thought it interesting. I couldn’t pass y’all up, I remember back in the 60’s you could count the deer you saw in a year on one hand but we had apple trees loaded so heavy with fruit we had to prop the limbs to keep them from breaking , I’m guessing they might have...
