    Slap ya mama

No. I've been planting trees for about 8 years and never even had one nibbled on.

    Slap ya mama

I thought about getting a small can and mixing it but the spray, dash of seasoning, then spray seemed easier.

    Slap ya mama

I sprayed about 20 fruit trees trunks with white paint, put some slap ya mama on them, then did a light spray over it so it sticks. Last year was the first year I had any mouse/vole issues and they killed 5 trees. Tomorrow I'll put on the window screen i bought. One of the main ingredients is...

    Bluehill 2025

Maybe it'll help a property sell easier. I planted a honeycrisp in my yard and have several other like Fuji and gala planted around. I don't expect a realtor to adjust my property up because of them, but a buyer may choose my property over another because of it. A hunter may also like the...

    Live from the stand thread

I got a shed buck today in PA. I still have the itch to hunt and will probably do some late season archery for another doe.

How Many Deer Do You Expect to See in One Hunt?

Here in PA its different depending on the property and season. During archery I see a handful on private and 1-5 on public. During rifle its a lot more. Opening day on public I saw 20-25 by noon on public. I shot a buck at noon so I didn't see any more because I was busy, but there was a...

    Bear Damage

    Bear Damage

I was just texting my neighbor today about bear damage at his place. I don't know what unit you're in, but I cant believe they cut 3D down to one week of archery. We are filthy with bears here and should be open all archery season.

    Bear Damage

I had a 9 foot pear tree snapped off at 3 feet, a 15 footer taken apart to basically 5 feet, and a 3rd tree almost 15 feet half uprooted. Anything anyone has would be appreciated.

Time to lighten up - Laughter is good medicine Part II

Hate to admit it, but that Schwarzenegger one took me a minute.

    Migrant Fruit Pickers

I had some bear chili last night. That was the last of that bear. Delicious meat, if I didn't know better I would have thought it was high quality beef.

    When to say when

Had to do it 2 years ago. My dog had dementia. Absolutely nothing left of him mentally. Worst thing was he was 16 and healthy as a horse. Just walked in circles, ran into walls, and would pee or poop every hour of the day. Was tough but like said above, after it was over we knew we did the...

    Persimmion age

I'm in PA too. Wet years like this I get that. Mine lost almost all flowers already and they didn't even open. I believe it's a fungus.

    Bluehill 2025

I ran over to his place this weekend and grabbed 5 sweet advent pear trees. I got one in the ground and the rest are in pots. I'll get spots ready for them this summer and get them in the ground in the fall.

    Sheds

I saw a 4 point last night still holding and my wife saw a 10 with both sides. Neighbor told me last week he had five come through all still holding both. I'll wait until mid February to start looking.

    Monster Pear Tree Reworking?

I've never done it, but I would do one large limb/leader per year in disease resistant types.

    Bluehill 2025

I grabbed 2 pear and 2 persimmon. I'm done now for a long while. 50+ fruit trees on my place and want to start focusing on nuts now. I'm doing pick up, have picked up probably 5 timed and enjoy the conversation.

Just like those Hunting Public guys...

I like to use it. You can see it blow away from you then back by you and see what the thermals are doing.
