Trapping Your Land.

No offense, but this is a terrible idea.

That's why I didn't do it again. I built myself some boxes later that week and bought some MB550s.

I'm up to 24 this season, beat last season's 19. Still have at least a month ago.

How many sets do you have out at any given time? Snares or foot holds?

I have 42 out now. 32 leg holds, 10 cables.

The coyotes here are keeping the raccoons down. Seems like the skunks are down too. Somehow the possums persist, so I trap them.

But really, the coyotes have taken over. They are a nightmare. I spend most of my time now (in Ohio) trying to kill yotes.

In Canada the yotes have more wolf DNA, so they are hard to kill. But they are brutal on fawns.

I. Hate. Coyotes.

I caught/shot these guys over a 3 day period on my pond

Good work, Swiffy! Kill 'em all

Nice Swiffy, and a good looking GSP!

Thanks! Hes a Drathaar, and if he had it his way, hed be the one finishing them yotes off! Hes just wishing for a reason to pounce :)

Went down this weekend to frost seed my property and I caught my first trespasser. Teenager trying to trap a few beaver in the creek.(didn't know I had beaver, till this weekend and they definitely have been chewing on a tree. That's visible from the road) I told him he could continue trapping the beaver, but nothing else. I actually want to get rid of the beavers, but didn't expect my first encounter with a trespasser to go like that.

I caught 2 more yesterday. Thats 17 on the year for me. It is a lot better than I thought I would do with my limited experience. Now if we could just get some fresh snow so I could make some new sets and finish of the year strong I'd be happy.
