Off topic. Suggestion for fishing charter for Outer Banks in December.

Anyone have any input on fishing charters for the Outer Banks in December? Most likely would fish inshore for stripers and not offshore species, but I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks!

Tap, Check with the local bait and tackle shops and they will be able to give you some personal suggestions. Not sure if there will be much action offshore but the trout (greys and speckled) should be close to the beaches and in the sound. Check with the tackle shops for locations, local favorite baits and possible piers that can be fished from. Good Luck, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Thanks coach. A wonderful Christmas to you as well.
I decided to move my fishing trip a little North to Virginia Beach. Sounds like the stipe fishing should be better up near Chesapeake Bay.

Never been striper fishing but I've been told stripers are abundant in the bay and local waters. Good Luck and send some PICS.

I went on a 2 day November striper trip in the bay several years ago. The 1st day was terrible due to nasty weather. Conditions improved slightly the 2nd day and so did the fishing. The guides and other locals told us that the catch was typically much better and blamed the weather.
Not the 1st time that the fishing on a paid trip was disappointing. Went salmon fishing in Washington state several years ago, on what was supposed to be normally the best week of the year. We were almost guaranteed a great trip...none of the dozens of boats were catching ANY.
I guess that's why it's called "fishing" and not "catching".
