New one for me

Nova

5 year old buck +
This is a new one for me. Went to pull cards at home last night and I see this set of tracks….Moose, no way…bear, maybe but this time of year? I follow them thru the property and it almost looks like they are avoiding the 3 cams I have on 11 acres. With my curiosity peaked I grab all the cards and (almost) run back to the house. First two cards had nothing but bunnies and yotes, but then I stumble on this pic. A freakin horse at 5 in the morning with it's blanket on. I don't even know who owns a horse within 5 miles of me.horse 2.JPG

Wow crazy. Did you call local LEOs to see if someone was missing a horse?

Ya don't see that everyday! I'm sure someone will be hot on the trail - hopefully.

I had a couple Morgans that had wanterlust until Dad upped the Amps on the electric fence. That is a classic Kl9.

The pics are from Feb 4th and I haven't seen any sign of it since and no signs around that someone is missing a horse. I might track it and see where it went this weekend. I have to imagine if the horse is still missing someone would come looking. Plenty of snow to track the horse.

It was driving me crazy trying to figure out what made those tracks. This is one reason I like to run trail cams all year long...you just never know what will show up.

That's pretty wild. Certainly not neglected it's got a blanket.
Someone may have reported missing to animal control of you have one.

Many years ago my wife went out to feed horses and her favorite was gone. When she called the sheriff, they asked if it was a black and white paint. My wife said yes it is. Someone had called the sheriff's office earlier that morning with a paint mare in their pasture. Over 5 miles from our house. Got her back with no injuries.

Wow, what a shocker that would be............
