Morse nursery

Black Swamp

5 year old buck +
has anyone used them? Good? bad?

Last place I would go unless I was an 75 year old grandma looking for a lilac bush.

You need to update your name tag with you USDA zone and location, then tell us what you are are looking for ....can't answer a question without details.

The trophy pears aren't fire blight resistant

Several users here have said they were not impressed. BrushPile (not here anymore that I know of) posted pictures of twigs they called trees. He didn't have anything good to say about them. For those reasons I've never personally tried them.

If you post what you are looking for someone will chime in with personal experience and a source.

Used them once ...... not again. The only trees that did well for us were a Nova Scotia crab and some kind of " hybrid pear ". The rest ......... NO.

For fruit trees, the nicest trees I've seen were from ACN - Adams County Nursery. ACN is on Penn State's list of the best nurseries in the U.S. There aren't many nurseries on that list - I think about 10 or 12. They raise all kinds of fruit trees, not just apples. The trees I got from them were not whips, but were feathered and had about 3/4" to 1" caliper. Never lost a tree. Cummins is also on the Penn State list.

I agree ACN grows some very nice trees, they do have have about 6 grades of trees though so if ordering make sure you get the size you want.

Pleased with shrubs , but bought a couple of his crab trees years ago that I would never buy again. ACN or Cummins only now.

Stark Bros, Adams County, Van Well, Hilltop, and Cummins are top nurseries to do business with.

Never had a bad experience with them. Always great service and quality trees. Before our local co-op fell apart, we had an annual tree sale and would buy about 1000 trees a year from them.
