Just some apple pics

Boskoop de Reinette grafted 2015 grin scion. Late bloomer but good grower. These are some cider varieties. My HC and Macoun, honeygold, novaspy, Galarina etc etc all doing great. Will post more pics. Will harvest ginger gold tomorrow IMG_1601.JPG

Looking good Paul. Your hard work is really paying off.

Filbarrel, huh ?? Never heard of that one, but I'm too focused on DR wildlife types of apples. I love trying new apples - especially ones that have a " tang " to them. Is Filbarrel a sweet/tart, smack your lips kind of apple ??

I'm amazed that your grafts from 2015 are producing already. Must have damn good growing conditions!

How did the red field taste? I got one in my Cummins shopping cart for next spring.

The redfield was not ripe, so the taste was bad but understandably so. I left another one hanging so I can try again later to see if the taste improves, i suspect it will. I will report back if the squirrels and coons don't beat me to the last apple.

I don't strip off apples on early grafts because I like to taste fruit I don't do it for profit .....yet lol. Filbarrel is a cider variety. Very nice flavor
