It took me a good 45 years to learn that listening to others who have done it for years is a lot more helpful than trying it 700 ways myself only to realize I should have just listened. I don't know, maybe I am stubborn

It took me 50 years to learn that anytime I get in a hurry bad things happen and/or I get hurt.

It took me until age 45 or so to learn that sweating in a treestand in early October when I should be filling the freezer with bluegills is an exercise in futility. Now I leave those stands sit until the weather cools off.
