I hate pine squirrels

I hate pine squirrels. These little red vermin have caused untold destruction to the chairs in several of my stands. On top of that, they got into my mobile home at deer camp over a winter and deposited small nuts all over the place. They can chew through anything but metal. I have them on my hunting land and my home acreage. When I see them in the winter feeding on the cobs of field corn I leave out for the grey and fox squirrels, they become targets of opportunity for my .22 magnum rifle. I hate them so much that when I kill one I put on my gloves and cut off their tail. That will teach them to feed on my corn!
While opening a 4'x4' stand with a flip down top last season, my helper encountered three of the little buggers that were living in the stand. They had chewed up the cushion of my stand chair and had a cozy nest completely protected from the elements and predators. My helper managed to kill two of the buggers with a piece of wood and sent the third one limping away into the pines. If I take the chairs out of the stands, which is quite a project, the dirty buggers chew them up in my storage building. I have tried all different kinds of mouse poison to diminish their numbers.
I have seen them in the woods aggressively chasing after grey squirrels. I have also heard the old wives tale about how they allegedly chew off the testicles of the grey squirrels. I truly doubt that story, but they are tough for their size and the grey squirrels seem to be afraid of them.
Anyone else have any pine squirrel stories that they would like to share?

I don't have a pine squirrel story, but do have one about a southern flying squirrel living in my cabin. I don't think I could bludgeon anything to death. I hate mice more then squirrels.

We drew tags for Iowa a couple years ago so we went out in March to hang stands. When we returned in November, a few of our stands had the plywood seats chewed 90 percent. Pretty miserable spending an all day sit in a stand with nowhere to put your butt.
I really hate red squirrels too, but I agree with Bszweda...I hate mice even more. And I would gladly bludgeon the life out of any mouse I can. I have a few stories about how I've killed those little bastards.

Luckily we don't have them in Missouri. My first memory of hunting was in Michigan at 4 years old sitting behind my Dad in the back yard watching him shoot a pine squirrel that had chewed a hole thru the house. They were on the varmint list and could be shot all year. Growing up it was great fun to call them in, they are much more aggressive than Gray or Fox squirrels.

Not saying we don't have them here, but I don't think I have seen one here. Mostly grey and fox squirrels here......all squirrels are rodents and as such they have to grind their teeth because they grow constantly. The fox squirrels we raised/released used to chew on virtually everything as well....they really liked wood.....I certainly can see how they would be very destructive.

I dont have time to take my stands down every year. I usually pay the price too. Luckily they havent touched the straps but most of my seats get destroyed every couple of years. Now I make sure to carry a portable pad with to each of my hunts just in case.

I carry my own seat for that reason as well as to avoid a wet ass! I don't have much issues with squirrels as I do with coons crapping all over my stands!

I've been toying with the idea of making slip-off caps out of hardware cloth for my seats.
