Front yard pond

Are there any natural ways to aerate a pond? I have about an 1/8th of an acre pond in the yard. I was going to scrape it back some this year to about 1 foot deep and add gravel and sand to help filter and increase area for good bacteria to grow. I'm told this will help keep it clean. Currently looking for ways to aerate without running a pump all the time. Was looking at windmills but those are out of the budget for me this year.

Anything that pumps enough air should do a pond that size. What are you trying to do?Being a foot deep may be your issue if you want fish unless it's just gold fish and you have shade

Sorry should have been more clear. The pond is 6 foot at the deepest I want to make it a little bigger by scraping the shoreline on one side back another 10 feet or so to a depth of 1 foot sloping into the pond . Then dump in pea gravel and rocks ando some sand .
I have fish in it already. Bass gills and goldfish that I know of.

They make littler ones that aren't to bad. They sell them here at farm n fleet. Only few hundred. Other look on craigslist always find good deals if your not in a big hurry.

Go to Missouri Wind and Solar's website and check out their pond aeration kits. When I'm done digging my pond this year I'm going to install their 100 watt pond aeration kit. Solar powered with a digital 'power without batteries' inverter controller. Here's a great video by a guy who used their system:
