Cuddelink 2020 GEN 2 version

New Feature just launched on Gen 2 Cuddeback Camp!

We recently updated the Cuddeback CAMP website and it now features an image depository. Cell users’ images are retained in a cloud account. Users can select what images they want to view by HOME camera, REMOTE camera, or DATE. Users can also classify images by animal type (buck, doe, bear, etc.). If you are a cell user just log into your CAMP account and click VIEW PHOTOS and you will see your images.

CAMP currently has a free account that holds 14 days or 2500 images (whichever comes first), or they can pay to store more images. Price is $20 per year for 10,000 images and goes up from there. We will be adding an OPT-OUT feature next week for those that don’t want their images saved on our cloud.

I am finding this a great feature as it allows me to view 6-9 images at a time and classify images quickly and save them. I think Cuddeback owners will find this a great feature as well.

Users can still designate up to 10 email or text addresses for images to be sent at no charge as part of the cell plan.
Hi John:
This new feature is AWESOME! So much easier than opening and viewing multiple emails. I'd like to clarify a couple assumptions. If I "save" or "favorite" images, they will NOT be deleted as the 10,000 image plan is reached? Only the oldest images that were not set to save or favorite? Until I have 10,000 with a save or favorite setting. Right? Thanks, Steve.

As you save the images, they stay in the system until you get to 10,000. The other images will age for 2 weeks and then be deleted with the oldest images going first.

So I just put out my gen 2 system, All of my cams look to have been communicating however I have 2 cams that showed up on website that I don’t think are mine. The channel selected though was in the 40’s and both cameras are showing up with firmware versions 7.0 and 7.7. Any ideas what’s happening here? I didn’t think the channels went that high with those versions.

if this is the online report and not a report that was emailed to you give it a day and see if they are still on there.

Need HELP!

Newbie and just put out my cameras on sat. ( also so great I found this forum!!!)

Background:
1. set everything up at home and ran test( updated to latest FW)
2. connected cameras in the field and ran a test on each one and was successful via text and email
3. set cell camera on sending pictures after each one. in my area don't get a ton of pictures maybe 10 a day max.

Current
1. Sunday received report but no pictures - so after reading some post I thought I might have the cell camera on sending too often
2. logged into my Camp account this was my report at that time

3. Then went to device settings and changed to the following around 8 pm Sunday night.
1595253784171.png

4. checked my device settings at 11pm Sunday night and the current value column was still showing the original setting even though it had connected to the cell camera etc.
5. requested it take a picture and sent another change request exactly as above at 11pm Sunday night.

question - does the changes show in current value column? If so, why would it show current status, i.e. sent the commands, but no changes or pic in first request and now it's saying the below on my 11PM request.

Any insight would be great!

I would check the individual device settings to make sure that the changes were saved. If you made any changes, the status should read "Pending". If it says Current, than the system did not register your request for changes for that particular camera. Sometimes I just make a name change to the camera or something else to make sure it is forcing some change besides just getting the report. I take it that the SD images on each of the cameras were from when you were setting them up?

Any plans in the future to upgrade the photo feature in camp to allow selecting multiple pictures easier than clicking on each one for deletion? I love the new feature but it can be a pain when going through hundreds of photos that you have to click each one.

Thanks,

yes when i was setting them up I did a test pic from each location and all came through via text. I have received one actual pic on Sunday camera 2 . It was taken at 11:30am but didn't send to me until 6pm. Nothing from the home camera has been sent except test pics from the field.

No reports or pictures sent today and my changes via CAMP still shows pending.

I just don't see how it could have worked when I"m standing in the field and then just quits working.

Can anyone shed some light on error codes fail:202 and fail:209 when executing a cell test? I encountered both today on a G cell unit that has been flawless the past 2 years. Thanks.

edit: add fail:219 and fail:235 to that list now. It executed 1 successful cell test then gave me the previous 2 error codes when I tried again. I'm leaving it in the mountain for now. I'll swap it out with another G series cell home next week. Any advice would still be appreciated

They have to do with cell service or lack there of.

I figured they did. I was hoping for specifics on each code.

update to my early request.. It finally accepted my changes via the CAMP webpage. Also, I've received a few pics, randomly and not at the 4 hour interval I set, after i changed my email to my gmail account. Since then my reports are showing up twice a day but pics sent are very random and mainly in the middle of the night.

question- my home cell camera says 60 pics on SD card but not one picture has been transmitted via cell from my home camera. All pictures are coming from my linked cameras.
What causes this?
How can I tell how strong the cell signal is on the camera?

I'm visiting my property on thursday and would like as much information as possible so i can get them on a regular cycle of sending pictures over.
Thanks!

What is your cc rate setting for Home camera? The SD image count is the total of all pics from all of your cameras. The best indicator of signal strength that I know would be to go to camp, check Home details, go to bottom and see how many attempts vs rejections, time outs.
If you use Facebook search for “Cuddeback users of America “ and join. Another great source of info.

appreciate the feedback.

I have the camera at CC rate every 4 hours

I take with 0 rejects and 0 timeouts it means it's getting a good signal?

On the facebook recommendation the family did away with them years ago due to security etc. issue .. That's why I'm glad I found this thread!!!

do not use batch 1 unless you are using a stand alone cell and even then i dont recommend it , your system will not work when running batch 1 on cuddelink. Move it to batch one hour at the shortest. if you need it for surveillance go into camp and prioritize the camera you need for security.

Im waiting on a full listing of error codes but for now i would move it and see if you get success.

clear your cell que and your sd cards remotely on alll you cameras so your system can start over , understand you need to give it 24 hours for changes to take place when doing it remotely , give it time, it may do it sooner but if you are constantly trying to make changes thinking they are happening in real time you will bog your system down. The main issue was you starting with batch 1 with a network. clear your que and sd cards remotely and wait 24 hours before you make any other changes.

I'm going to my property today and adding a repeater and a 5th camera. I will reset everything in field and start from scratch.
