Cuddeback's Cuddelink

Yes for me it took about a hour and a half per camera on the first 2 while watching trapping and hunting videos. The last two i cut the camo out by the patterns from the first one. With help on the last one, having someone separate the vinyl from the backing, it only took 25 minutes. Again this was with the patterns already cut out. Put cameras out yesterday evening and checked home camera this morning had 20 pictures. Worked as advertised, and I didn't even do it right. After I put remote camera in place I didn't set it to arming as directed, it did it by itself. Here are some thumbnail pics.
I'm happy, I had no day time pics.

Did you find it time consuming to wrap the long range cameras.

Yes to me it was. The last 2 didn't take as long because I had help.

Show us a pic of that camo'ed camera. They look a lot better when their camo'ed up.

Looks great! Your works better than mine, i used different pieces. I like the way you kept the pattern together.

Checked Cameras for second time, I had added a camera to the system. Again I did it completely wrong. I drove to the home camera put a camera there. Grabbed the home camera drove back toward the gate. And it worked lol. The farthest camera is taking pictures with a level of 16. When I use them like they're made to be used there's no telling how good they are. LOL

Finally able to go out and put up cameras today. I want to clear the SD card on a camera I set up in my backyard. There are about 200 pictures that I want to delete. Is there a way to delete pictures while the card is still in the camera? Can't seem to figure that out.

Thanks, Ken

Press mode until you come to commands. Press more until you see "Clear". Press up or down to select. You will be asked to "Confirm". Press up or down to confirm. This clears the SD card. It has taken me several trips to the farm and bringing back one or more cameras to try and figure out the menus. Takes practice.

Ya, that worked! I thought that CLEAR was for the battery days but it cleaned up the card. Should give an indication that the card is what's being cleared. I could see someone clearing it by mistake and wanted the pics on the card. Thanks Ed.

only way to clear battery days is to remove all the batteries

John,

You've made mention above that you have used the prototype dual xenon white flash module on the G model camera. It's my understanding that the two xenon flashes can be used in tandem for long reach or in an alternating manner for quicker recovery times between shots... Is this correct? If so, what is the quickest capacitor recharge rate (or shot-to-shot delay) when set for alternate firing? Any idea when the dual xenon module will be on the market?

Thanks

it would depend on how you set the delay but you could get 2 pics in under 5 seconds or less but then the capacitor would need about 30 seconds to recharge again. The white strobe should be ready about March.

Thank you John... I'm ready for March to arrive so I can give it a go!

In the meantime, I've been testing the 850nm Power House flash module and can say that I couldn't be happier. I was expecting twice the led's and thus twice the light output from the Power House but was delighted to find that the capacitor driven module in reality puts out 4X the light (2 full stops)! In the near to medium range I'm consistently getting 1/250th sec shutter speeds that give great motion blur control along with excellent IQ. These results lead me to believe that the black 940nm Power House module will give some great results in sorter range predator sets where stealth is important. So much stuff to buy and try!

thank you for the feedback, i think when people see the benefits of the powerhouse flash modules they will really catch on quickly, another plus is that regardless of battery strength they always produce light at 100% of the modules capability. This is a patented design that will keep the photo quality excellent even as alkaline batteries lose strength.

The white flash and the home base will be good additions to my system. Will the home base be out in march also?

the home base is slated for later this year, i hate to give an exact date but early summer is likely.

Thanks. I went to NWTF convention in Nashville this week, I wish Cuddeback would of been there.
SPY Point stole the show in the camera area, I hope Cuddeback can make it next year. Especially if they can get the
cellular models out for people to use.

Are they still on track to get the cell cameras out by summer still?

yes everything is on schedule for early summer shipping , there will also be a home cell unit that will retail for $200, this will be the best performing and most economical way to add cell service to you cuddelink network, this unit will only collect images from the remotes and then send them via cell network to your email, cell phone etc. It will allow for better battery management as well with the home unit only doing two functions- battery life will increase dramatically. We will also have a solar battery option for the Home cell unit.
