Best ATV Sprayer

BobinCt

5 year old buck +
Got another property to hunt this year so I need a great ATV sprayer. Be spraying about 5 acres. Advice would be great. Don't want junk, only top notch.

I was in the market for the same thing. I bought a "Crop Care." Boom is high quality, sprayer wasn't any better than my old Fimco, and it came out of the box with several problems. Crop Care made it right, but I wouldn't go that way again. You can buy the boom separate, and I do recommend it.

Yup, I'm in the market for the same and was going to post a similar thread. Looking for a 25 gallon. Not really sure if I go with a boom, or boomless. I've done a bunch of research and it seems like nothing really gets 5 stars consistently. Pumps fails, lines fail, connectors and tips have to be replaced, etc.

Looking forward to seeing some recommendations.

I have fimco 25 gallon .

I have a boom and a boomless

The boom is more of a "finishing"sprayer for lawn type ground after mowing(in my hands, experience)

The boomless is used for trails, pasture with taller growth, etc

Yes,parts can fail but they are easily found at TLC,are cheap, and easy to replace

I had a few different sprayers over the yrs, between me and my hunting camp
I had a Fimco 40 gallon sprayer, I made a BIGGER boom, added more nozzles and a larger pump, and it was awesome sprayer , was cheap and easy to modify from the stock set up to what I did, used it to maintain 16 acres on a farm I managed for hunting!
I had the boom so I could run it in 16 ft wide, of like 8 ft or smaller too, as I had it so it folded in to about 4 ft wide only!

I did sell it after loosing that farm, as I had point sprayers on other lands, but for being pulled behind an ATV< it was great

IF I wanted to do again , HOWEVER, I think, I would just buy a tank, and make my boom and add the pump, and use it on the back of a trailer I have, as my trailer would allow for it to sit Higher, and when NOT in use can store the tank Boom easier I think too,
there NOT hard to make , all parts are very simple to work with!

ALSO< note having a hand held ON OFF on boom is super handy, Fimco, has a wireless one too!
I cannot seem to add pic's here again, or I would post pic's of mine,
if anyone wants more details, I'd be glad to share.

as for is a BOOM or Boomless type
I'd prefer a Boom, way less wind drift IMO!
all the more so when you can adjust the height of boom!

I purchased one from Northerntool.com. Item number 282785. I paid $350 for it, but there was another one for $250. Mine was with shipping. It's a 32gal tow behind deal. It had all great reviews. I agree with above that you can make them easy and better, but I'm not handy so I have no choice. Haven't used it yet, but experimented with it in the driveway and has a 17 ft spread. Seems to me that it will be great in the field. Will be using it tomorrow with Roundup.

I had the exact same experience with mine; great boom but everything else was average. Take a look at the Superior Industries models out of Nebraska. Expensive but high quality. A state worker that sprays every day said it was the best he'd ever used on an ATV.

A late follow up on my sprayer. I used it multiple times and works great. Although it’s the first year I used it, I had no problems with it at all.
