Old Corncrib Into Small Shop

Nice job MP ... I think that particle board on the base of the deer stand will not be good long term ...

did you have trouble getting your deer view windows? its been over a month for me so far

I ordered mine in the beginning of August and they showed up two maybe three weeks later.

The windows are nice and seal up better than I thought. I should have gotten the gray tinted instead of the clear.

2x8 floor joists. 3/4" OSB floor. Why will that not hold up? It's going to be of the ground.

Just my 2 cents ...

OSB can still get wet and once it does will swell and crack. When OSB is made, the use resin & sawdust to fill areas between the chips. Would not be my choice outside without a vapor barrier.

mista...

take two jack studs and sister underneath each 2x4 to help support each 2x12 (i think). you have just one 2x4 supporting each 2x12. I am assuming that you didn't have the 2x12s across the garage door opening??? But they are sliding doors??

Nice job on the shed!

Those are not 2x4's on the outer walls. They are 2.25x8.25 hardwood timbers.

Yes I installed a header above the overhead door.

I would love to see the pictures - photobucket must have changes their regulations/sharing rules. My husband and I are about to embark on a journey to turn our old corn crib into a home.....
