    Craziest trees I've ever seen. Scorched red, needles falling off, can't decide if they want to live or die but they're coming back from the dead I do believe. Guess I'll give em another year :)

    These are American plum buck or that's what the tags said. They came from MDC.

    My plums sure have taken off like gangbusters. These were planted in the spring of 2015 and most are 7ft tall. I don't have the best soil conditions on my property so I'm quite happy with the growth!

    Lessons learned! I yanked a few last spring that didn't make it. Looks like they'll get replaced with Bull Pine.

    Darn loblolly pitch hybrids just have a hard time up in northern Neb. Had a colder than normal winter and a lot of them showed signs of winter burn after Dec. They seem to be a tough tree once established so I'll wait and see come spring as the buds still look ok.
